As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to our Partner Group. This is a critical, fast-paced role supporting our Partners, and we are looking for someone who thrives on being one step ahead, juggling multiple priorities, and making things happen.
Key responsibilities include:
Support Fast-Moving Executives:
  • Provide proactive, senior-level administrative support to Partners
  • Anticipate needs, prioritize competing demands, and ensure leaders are focused on their highest and best work
  • Manage complex calendars: schedule, move, reschedule, and decline meetings as appropriate while balancing priorities and relationships
  • Serve as gatekeeper to minimize time executives spend managing email; organize, prioritize, and draft responses that reflect their voice and tone
  • Keep track of to-dos, deadlines, and projects, reminding executives of follow-ups and helping ensure accountability and follow-through
  • Serve as liaison to other offices, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees ensuring seamless integration
  • Provide leadership and backup support for administrative functions, as needed

Plan and Execute Key Firm Meetings & Events:
  • Organize, plan, and execute events, meetings, and retreats, including logistics, food ordering, audiovisual, and setup/day-of needs
  • Prepare PowerPoint slide decks and other presentation materials
  • Find, negotiate, and coordinate off-site meeting locations and be on-site to oversee logistics

Keep Operations Running Smoothly:
  • Oversee daily office operations for a smooth and efficient environment
  • Run reports, organize data, and present information in clear, useful ways to executives
  • Write and edit communications such as emails, announcements, and intranet posts, ensuring the executives' tone and professionalism are reflected
  • Partner with other Executive Assistants, providing backup and stepping in to support other Partners or projects when needed
  • Regularly check in with supported executives to identify additional ways to increase effectiveness

Ideal Executive Assistant candidate has:
  • Associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Client service experience in a professional services environment preferred
  • A get-things-done personality who takes initiative, figures things out, and anticipates what's next
  • Experienced in supporting senior executives (3+ years preferred), with confidence navigating complex situations and relationships
  • Comfortable with interruptions, adaptable, and patient in a fast-moving environment
  • An excellent writer and communicator with strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite, and comfortable leveraging technology (including AI tools) to increase efficiency
  • A problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and isn't afraid to try new things
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and ensure confidentiality
  • Based in the Twin Cities area, available to work in our Edina office at least 3-4 days per week (preferred daily)

Additional Information:
At Abdo, we are committed to providing fair, transparent, and competitive compensation that reflects the unique skills and experiences of each candidate. The estimated base pay range for this role is $56,000 - $86,000. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and business needs.
All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance, special projects or significant importance, or other major accomplishments.
