Job description

Job Title: Training Lead Supervisor

Job Department: Housekeeping

Job Pay Rate: $19.75 / hour

Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Training Lead, you will be managing room cleanliness standards and teaching new and current cleaning staff how to meet our five-star hospitality expectations. Learn more about Broadmoor here.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Supports the hiring, training, and re-training of employee process.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Training Manager to create and run onboarding programs for all new housekeeping employees, and training initiatives.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and cottages to ensure strict luxury standards are met daily.
  •  Work side-by-side with room attendants to coach them on proper cleaning methods, chemical usage, room amenities placement, AAA Forbes and Broadmoor Standards, safety protocols, and housekeeping Policies and Procedures.
  • Track employee performance during daily inspections and deliver constructive feedback or retraining sessions.
  • Help update standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals to reflect luxury resort changes and Broadmoor guidelines.
  • Rewarding and recognizing employees for their exceptional performance and by participating in various reward and recognition programs of the department and hotel.
  • Participate in the employee progressive disciplinary process, including the coaching, counseling, and administration of employee discipline.
  • Keep track of the special maintenance issues that you or your team reported and follow-up, maintain open communication with your manager.
  • Actively participates in timely administration of 90-day and annual performance process.
  • Attends regularly schedule supervisor meetings and applicable leadership training classes to include preparing and delivering group presentations.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure staff have proper tools.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping training supervisor and hospitality is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish).
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
