Job description

Role Overview:
The SAP Group Reporting Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance for Group Reporting. This role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, maintaining master data elements, integrating Group Reporting with other SAP modules, and developing reporting hierarchies. The consultant must also collaborate with finance stakeholders and IT teams to ensure accurate and timely consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day AMS support for SAP Group Reporting, including incident management, problem resolution, and change requests in line with SLA commitments.
  • Configure and maintain SAP Group Reporting objects including consolidation units, versions, hierarchies, elimination rules, and currency translation methods.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close activities, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of financial data.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Manage and resolve tickets via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring root cause analysis and preventive action for recurring issues.
  • Support integration between SAP Group Reporting and SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal, as well as other feeder systems.
  • Participate in upgrades, patches, and enhancements to the SAP Group Reporting landscape.
  • Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date functional and technical documentation (configuration guides, test scripts, SOPs).
  • Support intercompany reconciliation, eliminations, and reporting processes.
  • Work with SAP Analysis Objects for reporting and data visualization where applicable.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the AMS team.
  • Stay current with SAP product roadmaps and emerging Group Reporting capabilities.

Required Skills:
  • Experience with SAP Analysis for Office (AFO) and financial reporting dashboards.
  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Familiarity with IFRS 18 reporting standards.
  • Experience working in a global, multi-entity consolidation environment.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking ability with limited supervision.
  • Mentoring capabilities.
  • Quick learner and self-starter.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to change management procedures and internal guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • SAP certification in SAP S/4HANA Finance or Group Reporting.

Preferred Skills:
  • Digital: SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
