Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Procurement Manager to join our BCA Supply Chain Functional Excellence team in Everett, Washington.

The Supply Chain Manager will directly manage a great team of Executive Office Administrators that support Vice Presidents and Executives across BCA Supply Chain in Everett, WA. It will be responsible for all aspects of managing a team as well as essential alignment to ensure the executive leadership team receives the support, they need for their business.This role will be responsible for recognition and events across the BCA Supply Chain Organization. This includes large event planning such as Supplier Summit, Airshows, and support for certain supplier visits as needed.

Additionally, this position will report to the Director, Supply Chain, Functional Excellence leader supporting them directly and their organization. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining project timelines, track progress to plan, prepare executive-level presentations and talking points for senior leadership. This position requires strong project management, organizational, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Our teams are currently hiring a (Level K) Procurement Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
  • Supports the Supply Chain Functional Excellence Director in day-to-day activities to support the business. Integrate with other Director Analysts in the organization to ensure alignment.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:To be considered for this position you willbe requiredto complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Domestic and international 10% travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant industry certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
