Procurement & Purchasing Manager

Compensation: $100,000 to $120,000, based on experience

Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Contract Term: Minimum one year with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance



Gecko Hospitality is conducting a confidential search for an established international procurement organization that specializes in supporting luxury hospitality projects throughout North America and internationally.


As the company continues expanding its U.S. operations, they are seeking an experienced Procurement & Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities for hospitality projects while working closely with an established international support team.


This is an outstanding opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building processes, working independently, and making a direct impact within a growing organization.


This senior level position will serve as the primary procurement leader for the U.S. operation. The successful candidate will work directly with executive leadership while collaborating with an experienced international procurement, finance, and operations team.


The ideal candidate is a self starter who thrives with autonomy, enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and improving procurement processes in a fast paced environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead procurement activities for hospitality related FF&E and OS&E projects throughout the United States
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that improve cost efficiency and supplier performance
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchase agreements
  • Develop procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor purchasing budgets and procurement performance
  • Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports for leadership
  • Collaborate with project management, finance, operations, and design teams
  • Identify and qualify new vendors and strategic supplier partners
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project materials
  • Continuously improve procurement workflows and operational efficiency


Qualifications


  • 3 to 5+ years of procurement or purchasing management experience
  • Hospitality procurement experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with FF&E and OS&E purchasing is highly desirable
  • Hotel Purchasing Managers, Purchasing Directors, Procurement Managers, and hospitality supply chain professionals are encouraged to apply
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Highly organized with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with ERP or procurement software platforms is a plus
