Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: ย Registrar II - Para
Wage/Hour Status: ย Non-exempt/At-Will
Reports To: Principal/PEIMS Supervisor ย 
Pay Grade/Days: ย  205/226-daysย 
Dept./School: ย Assigned campus ย  ย  ย  ย 
Date Revised: ย  ย  April 2014
Primary Purpose:
Ensure efficient operation of the school's PEIMS processes and procedures according to theย 
guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency and the administration of Waco Independentย 
School District.
Qualifications:
ย 













Education/Certification:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)


Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of PEIMS processes and procedures Computer, communication and organizational skills
ย 

Experience: Two years of prior experience as a PEIMS clerk/specialist or registrar or a minimum of three yearsย 
of secretarial experience, preferably in the public education setting


Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. ย  Perform registration and withdrawal procedures, including leaver documentation, of allย 
students as assigned.
2. ย  Process student records, set up cumulative folders and enter student data into appropriateย 
databases as assigned.
3. ย  Prepare and furnish student records upon request, including information for colleges andย 
universities as assigned.
4. ย  Work with counselors in all matters related to the academic records of students.
5. ย  Attend all district PEIMS training sessions relevant to current job responsibilities andย 
disseminates information to appropriate campus staff.
6. ย  Verify, file and maintain district reports, including PEIMS reports and file/store accordingย 
to district and state policies.
7. ย  Enter, validate and correct campus-level PEIMS information through the use of edits,ย 
email/faxed requests, PEIMS reports and on-campus verification/audit checks.
8. ย  Help to maintain the Academic Achievement Record (AAR) for all students as assigned accordingย 
to district and state guidelines, including the timelines established.
9. ย  Maintains student cumulative folders as assigned by including the necessary documentation,ย 
including testing labels and other information on the C-13 card, as stated in the district andย 
state guidelines.
10. ย Respond to all correspondence from local or state agencies regarding requested studentย 
information.
11. ย Perform other duties as assigned

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, andย 
pushing. Administrative office environment, high pressure, fast pace, multiple deadlines, peopleย 
intensive, multiple concurrent projects, and extended hours when warranted. Frequent use ofย 
computer, fax, phone, scanner, and other electronic equipment.
