ABOUT AFL

AFL is a global manufacturer of fiber optic and electrical infrastructure solutions, wholly owned by Fujikura, a technology leader founded in 1885. Headquartered in Duncan, SC, AFL supports telecommunications, energy, and data center markets worldwide.

ABOUT AFL DATA CENTER SERVICES

AFL Data Center Services, a division of AFL US Services, delivers large-scale infrastructure solutions supporting some of the world’s largest data center environments.

Our expertise includes network infrastructure deployment, pathway installation, bulk fiber installation, high-volume fiber splicing, interconnect and backbone deployment, testing, certification, and operational support. We thrive in fast-paced environments where precision, execution, quality, and safety matter.

WHY AFL DATA CENTER SERVICES

  • Backed by a financially strong global parent company
  • Rapidly growing Data Center infrastructure services organization
  • Support Big 5 Hyperscalers
  • Deep expertise in large-scale deployment execution
  • Strong safety culture and operational discipline
  • Opportunity to help build the next generation of digital infrastructure

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a foundational seat in the Analytics and Enablement pillar of a brand new PMO. The Senior BI Analyst will translate raw project data, currently spread across spreadsheets, project plans, and field tools, into the metrics and insights that drive correction and acceleration across the delivery portfolio.

You will partner with delivery leads, finance, and operations to put earned value, schedule performance, and project health data in front of the people who can act on it. This is a high impact, high visibility seat with a clear line to executive reporting and customer engagement.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • This is a foundational seat. The metrics framework you build will become the executive nervous system for a service line on a multi hundred-million-dollar trajectory
  • You will own the migration from spreadsheet-based tracking to a single source of truth that scales

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build and maintain KPI frameworks that measure project performance across cost, schedule, scope, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead earned value management analysis including Schedule Performance Index (SPI), CPI (Cost Performance Index), EAC (Estimate at Completion), and variance reporting across active programs
  • Identify trends and surface correction opportunities to delivery leads in time to act
  • Partner with delivery, finance, and operations to baseline projects and track against baseline through close out
  • Translate field practice and spreadsheet-based tracking into a single source of truth that scales
  • Develop reporting templates and standards that scale across multiple geographies and customers
  • Support internal executive reporting and external customer reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the PMO and Operational teams to translate analytical work into clean, intuitive visualizations
  • Contribute to the software roadmap evaluation for PMO analytics tooling

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Five to seven years of progressive experience in business intelligence, project controls, or PMO analytics, with at least three years on programs of 50 million dollars or larger
  • Earned value management applied experience required, including SPI, CPI, and EAC. Coursework alone is not sufficient.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL fluency. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools is a strong plus.
  • Comfort working with messy source data, including spreadsheets, project plans, and operational systems
  • Experience supporting both internal executive reporting and external customer-facing reporting
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex metrics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Hyperscale, data center, EPC, or large infrastructure experience is a plus, not a requirement

TRAVEL AND AUTHORIZATION

  • Travel up to 40 percent for the first 90 days as you connect with operations and project teams, then variable based on project rhythm
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a long-term basis. This position does not offer employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

COMPENSATION

Compensation philosophy, base plus consideration for project performance bonus tied to initiative success measures, quality, safety, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction. Specific ranges discussed during candidate conversations.

AFL Data Center Services is committed to building a team that reflects the customers and communities we serve. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
