The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing critical executive support to Cepheid's Chief Commercial Officer, operating with the highest level of confidentiality, judgment, and autonomy. This is a high-impact role supporting a global commercial organization and requires understanding of business operations, commercial priorities, executive rhythms, and strategic planning to enable effective decision-making and execution.

This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is part of the Cepheid Commercial Organization located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role. There is a preference for candidates who can work on-site in Sunnyvale, CA, ST. While this req is posted as on-site in the US, applications from qualified candidates in other US locations will be considered equally.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to support achievement of key commercial business objectives.

  • Lead executive operations, including complex calendar management, global travel, meetings, expenses, and other business-critical activities.

  • Drive strategic projects and events by managing timelines, logistics, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of commercial priorities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience with 8+ years of executive administrative support experience, including support of C-suite leaders.

  • Minimum 3 years of project management and event planning experience, including executive meetings, conferences, and business events.

  • Advanced proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and other AI-enabled productivity tools.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically per business needs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Executive administrative support for a senior Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or General Management leader in a global organization.

The hourly range for this role is USD $50.00 - $55.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
