Job description

Position Summary

Dukes Properties & Construction is a boutique real estate development, construction, and investment company specializing in ground-up residential construction, mixed-use and historic renovations, commercial construction, land development, and value-add redevelopment projects throughout North Carolina.

We are seeking a highly driven, proactive, organized, and solutions-focused Executive Office Assistant to support executive leadership with daily operations, project coordination, research, and administrative support.

This position is designed for someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, solves problems, and consistently follows through without waiting for direction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

This role serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership, helping keep projects, meetings, communications, and daily operations organized and moving forward. Success in this position requires ownership, urgency, professionalism, strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to execute with minimal supervision.

This is an on-site, part-time position based in our Raleigh office and is ideal for a highly motivated North Carolina State University student or recent graduate interested in real estate development, construction, business operations, finance, or entrepreneurship. The position requires 20–30 hours per week with a flexible schedule that accommodates class schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage executive calendars and scheduling.
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Track action items and ensure follow-through.
  • Organize emails and maintain executive communications.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Anticipate executive needs and proactively solve problems.

Project Coordination

  • Assist with active real estate development and construction projects.
  • Track project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, municipalities, lenders, and vendors.
  • Organize project documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Support procurement, purchasing, and vendor coordination.

Research & Operations

  • Research municipalities, zoning, permitting, vendors, and products.
  • Assist with due diligence and market research.
  • Maintain digital filing systems and company records.
  • Support office operations and administrative processes.
  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency.

General Support

  • Assist with special projects and company initiatives.
  • Run occasional local business errands.
  • Maintain a professional and organized office environment.
  • Support leadership wherever needed to keep projects moving.

Qualifications

  • Current NC State student or recent graduate preferred
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Construction Management, Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
