  • Lead recovery of damaged and missing freight, including claim escalation, root-cause investigation, and carrier accountability.

  • Own resolution of missed pickups and chronic service failures through direct carrier engagement and escalation.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring service issues and implement structural fixes (routing, carrier mix, mode selection).

  • Partner with Operations and Customer Service on carrier issues that affect customer commitments.

Freight P&L & Cost Management
  • Own freight P&L oversight, including freight cost audit, accessorial validation, and accrual accuracy in partnership with Finance.

  • Oversee GL coding accuracy in BlueGrace and linehaul payment workflows.

  • Build and maintain scalable processes to evaluate and audit freight costs.

  • Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate logistics performance and savings against budget.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Translate analytics into recommendations for Pricing, Procurement, Operations, and Finance.

  • Develop SOPs and training materials for the team and cross-functional partners.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Support
  • Coordinate with the International Logistics Manager and Trade Compliance on landed cost, customs clearance, and import documentation accuracy.

  • Support container demurrage, detention, and per diem cost management in coordination with the International Logistics Manager.

  • Develop policies and procedures for continuous logistics and supply chain process improvements.

  • Monitor industry trends and market developments in domestic and international logistics and transportation.

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required; degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain management.

  • Demonstrated experience leading carrier RFPs, rate negotiations, and contract execution across multiple modes required.

  • Experience managing TMS platforms (BlueGrace, MercuryGate, or similar) and direct carrier relationships required.

  • Experience managing freight P&L, freight cost audit, and accrual processes required.
