What does an executive logistics manager do?

An Executive Logistics Manager oversees and coordinates the entire supply chain and logistics operations of an organization, ensuring that goods move efficiently from suppliers to customers. They develop strategies to optimize inventory management, transportation, and warehousing while maintaining cost-effectiveness and meeting quality standards. Additionally, they lead teams, manage vendor relationships, and implement technologies or processes to streamline logistics. Their role is critical in minimizing delays, reducing costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

How does an executive logistics manager typically collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain efficiency?

Executive Logistics Managers frequently work cross-functionally, partnering with departments like procurement, production, sales, and customer service to streamline supply chain operations. They coordinate with procurement to manage vendor relationships, with production to align inventory levels, and with sales to forecast demand accurately. Open communication and regular strategy meetings are crucial to ensure everyone is aligned on logistics goals and can proactively address any bottlenecks. This collaborative approach helps to minimize delays, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help drive team performance and manage complex logistics networks. These skills and qualifications are crucial for optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs, and ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain.

Job description

Sales Executive Opportunity At RJ Logistics

RJ Logistics is growing — and we're looking for Sales Executives ready to grow with us. We're seeking driven Sales Executives who thrive in B2B sales, enjoy building long-term customer relationships, stay focused on solutions, and want clearly defined career advancement driven by results — all within a scaling 3PL / logistics brokerage environment.

Why RJ Logistics | People-Centric. Customer-Obsessed. Growth-Driven.

  • Remote Fridays
  • Flexibility tied to performance — not face time
  • Competitive base pay + uncapped commission
  • Strong medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous PTO + paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Retirement plan with company match
  • Tools, tech, and operational support to help you work smarter, not longer

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and develop new B2B relationships within freight brokerage and logistics sales
  • Own the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, quoting, solution design, and close
  • Provide accurate freight pricing while maintaining profitability
  • Partner with team members to deliver reliable, end-to-end transportation solutions
  • Position RJ Logistics as a trusted supply chain partner
  • Manage activity, pipeline, and performance using CRM, TMS, and sales tools
  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue and margin goals

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Enjoy relationship-driven, consultative sales
  • Are motivated by performance-based, uncapped earnings
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with decision-makers
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Want long-term career growth — not just a sales seat
  • Bring grit, curiosity, and a competitive mindset
  • Bonus: Experience in B2B sales, freight brokerage, 3PL, or logistics

Compensation

Starting at $50,000 base pay, plus unlimited performance-based commission. Total earnings are uncapped and directly tied to individual results.

Ready to build your book and your career? Apply now. We welcome conversations with candidates who want more than just another sales role.
