Position titleIntellectual Property (IP) Attorney for the Department of the Air Force (Arlington, VA)DescriptionAre you a top-tier intellectual property attorney ready to tackle the nation's Air Force's Office of the General Counsel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join its prestigious IP Cadre within the Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Division of the Air Force Office of General Counsel at the Pentagon, Arlington VA. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a key legal advisor at the highest levels of government. You will provide actionable, candid, and independent counsel to members of the Secretariat, Air and Space Staff, and Portfolio Acquisition Executives on all matters of intellectual property law relevant to government procurements. Your portfolio will be dynamic and critical, covering intellectual property rights for major weapon systems, advanced space systems, complex information technology, and non-traditional procurement instruments. As a senior expert in the field, you will be entrusted with developing creative solutions for novel legal problems without direct precedent. In addition, part of your role may involve providing legal oversight on major contract litigation, including bid protests before the GAO and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The ideal candidate possesses recognized expertise in intellectual property law and rights in technical data and computer software applicable to government contracts and OTAs, coupled with the proven ability to lead and mentor other attorneys.
