How you'll make an impact:
The Sr. Director of IT Supply Chain Systems (Warehouse Management & Logistics) is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of enterprise warehouse and logistics technologies, with primary ownership of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and associated Logistics platforms. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Distribution Center, Transportation, and Operations leaders to enable scalable, efficient, and data-driven warehouse and logistics capabilities that support business growth and operational agility.
This position serves as the technology owner for WMS (including labor management) and Logistics solutions, driving continuous improvement, optimizing total cost of ownership, and ensuring platforms evolve in alignment with business strategy.
Strategic direction setting, communications, relationship management 30%
  • Partner with Distribution Center and Supply Chain leadership to support business strategy through innovative use of Warehouse Management and Logistics technologies.

  • Translate business strategy into IT strategic and tactical initiatives that enable enterprise Warehouse Management and Logistics capabilities.

  • Collaborate with business, IT, and external partners on requirements definition, solution design, and delivery roadmaps.

  • Work with business owners to define priorities and initiate initiatives and projects.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level communications, presentations, and project updates.

  • Ensure creation and maintenance of system documentation, process flows, training materials, and user communications.

Project direction / team coordination 30%
  • Lead the design and implementation of Warehouse Management and Logistics solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and strategic objectives.

  • Ensure delivery of Warehouse Management and Logistics initiatives with high quality, on-time execution, and adherence to best practices in design, testing, and user experience.

  • Evaluate business processes and system needs to recommend and implement optimal solutions for enhancement, replacement, or new deployment.

  • Manage and develop onshore, offshore, and indirect resources.

  • Establish functional goals and objectives aligned with company strategy.

Support for applications 30%
  • Serve as a critical member of the Supply Chain Systems support organization.

  • Oversee end-user training and ongoing support for WMS and related Logistics platforms, including mobile devices used in distribution center operations.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis and resolution of production issues and system defects.

  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with defined SLAs and SOX compliance requirements.

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service partners, including WMS and Logistics vendors and device management providers.

Budgeting/other Admin 10%
  • Develop and manage operating and project budgets for Warehouse Management and logistics technology resources.

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and vendor contract management activities.

We'd Love to hear from you if:
Must have:
  • 10+ years of IT experience, managing Warehouse Management and/or Logistics solutions in a complex enterprise environment (retail experience preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Koerber or similar technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical and functional solution designs.

  • 3+ years of people management experience, including managing distributed and decentralized teams.

  • Strong analytical and process-oriented problem-solving skills with demonstrated mathematical modeling capability.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.

  • Solid understanding of application configuration, integration, data management, and system architecture.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

Preferred skills and experience:
  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) - experience with EDI integration, mapping, and transaction management across trading partners and carriers.

  • Rate Shopping - experience with carrier rate shopping engines and transportation management integrations.

  • Infor Nexus - experience with Infor Nexus or similar supply chain visibility and collaboration platforms.

  • Mobile Device Management - experience with SOTI MobiControl or comparable MDM solutions.

  • Zebra Devices - hands-on experience managing and supporting Zebra mobile computing devices (handheld scanners, label printers, wearables) in a distribution center environment.Anaplan certification or advanced platform expertise.

  • Experience with AI-enabled Supply Chain Planning and/or Warehouse Management technologies.

  • Combination of consulting and industry experience.
