About the job
As the Google Cloud Federal Civilian Sales Leader you are responsible for partnering with senior level government executives in the relevant Federal Civilian agencies to ensure we are bringing our Google Cloud product, solutions and expertise to help solve the consequential challenges they are facing today.
Drawing upon previous, demonstrable success leading sizable technology sales teams in the space, you will drive the team to meet and exceed demanding growth targets. In this role, you will partner with leadership and peers to set direction for work that impacts multiple lines of business. This role influences and contributes to the development of varied organizations across their businesses focus, requiring an understanding of organization structure. You'll have responsibilities of leading the broader organization with peers, facilitating talent mobility and development.
In addition, you will interface with client executives or work in the details of a large agreement. You will run the business autonomously while leveraging where the group fits into the broader organization and provide strong, visionary leadership of where the federal cloud market is going in the future and how Google Cloud supports that to both the internal team and federal customers.
Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $176,000-$245,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google .
Responsibilities
  • Lead and be responsible for covering, high profile accounts within the various Federal Civilian government agencies (with the exception of Health-focused agencies).
  • Lead the team to meet quarterly and annual booking objectives for the organization by leveraging their network within the US government.
  • Recruit talent and coach the team with a focus on providing actionable, forthright feedback.
  • Create and drive innovative programs focused on delivering growth at Google scale. Meet with customers/prospects/policy makers and participate directly in shaping the key agreements and accounts within the sector.
  • Inject operational accuracy into the organization; opportunities and growth can be "manufactured" with the correct processes and supporting activities: regular team forecast reviews, knowing when to involve other groups (pre-sales, channels, deals, contracts, etc.), and help focus activities on the largest return efforts.
