Job Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for overseeing event sales and driving membership growth at the club. This hybrid role splits focus equally between event operations and membership development, ensuring both areas meet their annual revenue and engagement goals. This position requires strategic planning and a strong ability to cultivate relationships with both prospective clients and club members. The Director collaborates with the regional Event Sales and Membership teams as well as the General Manager to ensure alignment with the club's overall business objectives and service standards.
Day-to-Day:
Event Sales
• Execute sales plans to maximize event sales revenue, ensuring alignment with club goals and sales standards set by the regional sales team.
• Cultivate relationships with key clients and prospects, leveraging networking opportunities inside and outside the club to generate new business.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager to design profitable and competitive event offerings.
• Ensure all event-related activities and expenses are tracked.
• Utilize sales management tools such as Cater Pro and Power BI.
Membership
• Drive membership growth by executing targeted recruitment strategies.
• Facilitate membership upgrades and maintain prospect inventory.
• Collaborate with regional membership and marketing teams.
• Represent the club at community events and networking opportunities.
• Track and report on sales performance.
Additional Duties
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
• Follow company and department policies.
• Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence.
• Follow safe working practices.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities.
About You:
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience with proven results.
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Strong selling and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with golf or private club industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
• Stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
• Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Effective communication and visual acuity.
Work Schedule
• Weekly schedule attendance required.
• Additional hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
