Enterprise Account Executive - Field Service (Public Sector)
Job Summary:

With intelligent AI-driven scheduling, real-time mobile workforce enablement, asset management, and deep integration with the Salesforce Customer 360 platform, Field Service helps Public Sector agencies reduce operational costs and improve service delivery.
We are looking for a high-performing Enterprise Account Executive / Sales Specialist to drive the growth and adoption of Salesforce Field Service across Public Sector strategic accounts. In this role, you will lead complex, technical software sales cycles into government agencies, partnering closely with Core Account Executives and Solution Engineers to identify, develop, and close high-impact opportunities.
You bring a proven track record of selling complex, technical enterprise software into Federal Civilian (Fed Civ), State & Local Government (SLG), or Defense (DoD) agencies, with the ability to navigate government procurement processes and articulate value to both technical and operational leaders.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive Revenue & Pipeline: Own the full technical sales motion for Salesforce Field Service across assigned Public Sector accounts from discovery through close.
  • Core AE Collaboration: Partner with Core Account Executives to identify expansion opportunities within existing agency accounts and build net-new pipeline.
  • Strategic Discovery & Alignment: Lead discovery and solution design conversations with Public Sector stakeholders spanning IT, Operations, CX, and agency leadership.
  • Solution Value Positioning: Deliver compelling, value-driven presentations and solution overviews, demonstrating how modern field service platforms streamline government operations and drive ROI.
  • Execution & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans that clearly articulate ROI around operational efficiency, technician utilization, and cost reduction.
  • Ecosystem Partnership: Collaborate with professional services, system integrators, and ISV partners to craft winning proposals and long-term customer success plans.
  • Market Presence: Represent Salesforce Field Service at government technology industry events, executive briefings, and customer advisory boards.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of enterprise technical software sales experience, with primary experience selling to Public Sector accounts (Federal Civilian, State & Local Government, or Defense/DoD).
  • Proven Track Record in Public Sector Sales: Demonstrated success navigating complex, multi-stakeholder government procurement cycles, RFPs, and contract vehicles.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to lead value-based conversations with senior agency stakeholders, including Agency Heads, CIOs, COOs, Program Directors, and IT Leadership.
  • Technical Sales Aptitude: Proven ability to sell complex enterprise software solutions and partner with technical teams (Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects) to map business needs to software capabilities.
  • Pipeline & Deal Execution: Strong prospecting skills, pipeline generation capability, and a history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Education: BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Field Service Management (FSM) Domain Experience: Experience selling or working with Field Service Management (FSM), service operations, workforce scheduling, or asset management solutions.
  • Government Operations Familiarity: Knowledge of government operational workflows such as public works, municipal asset management, permitting & inspections, emergency response, or defense logistics.
  • Salesforce Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, Salesforce Customer 360, or Salesforce Field Service is a strong plus.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.The typical base salary range for this position is $141,550 - $189,350 annuallyThere is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $155,700 - $208,300 per year.
