Job description

ABD Direct has a long history of developing forward-thinking direct-response fundraising solutions that pave the way for success for some of the nation’s leading non-profit organizations and progressive political campaigns.

The Account Executive, Digital Marketing provides a robust set of integrated and standalone digital services for our non-profit clients. This position requires experience in client management, developing digital and multi-channel fundraising strategies, data analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities

Account Strategy/Client Management

  • Serves as lead account manager on select mid-revenue accounts, providing client management support and technical expertise to supporting account managers and coordinators.
  • Contributes to the development of creative strategies and testing plans that integrate multiple channels including direct mail, digital advertising, email, and web.
  • Manages client relationships as well as relationships with other vendors involved with each client.
  • Drafts and edits landing page and email copy for client fundraising, engagement, and advocacy campaigns.
  • Manages new email subscriber imports, onboarding, and sourcing with the digital ads team.
  • Writes strategy memos and creative briefs.
  • Oversees regular client email reporting and provides insight and analysis on digital program performance.
  • Serves as a lead project manager for major client or company initiatives that require multiple assignments within and outside of the company, complex timelines, and the use of project management tools like basecamp and Asana.
  • Assist with developing comprehensive budgets for digital fundraising and tracking client revenue goals.
  • Leads client and internal meetings.
  • Responsible for understanding larger industry trends and the impact on clients and the company.

Internal People, Project and Process Management

  • Identifies opportunities to optimize email production processes for the department that will create efficiencies across the team.
  • Contributes to developing documentation as needed to provide standards of service executed consistently across clients.
  • Manages and onboards account coordinators and contractors in the department as staffing allows.

New Business Development

  • Helps produce new client proposals and participates in new client pitches.
  • Represents ABD Direct at industry events, both through attendance and presentations.

Must-have Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years experience in agency, nonprofit, or political direct response marketing.
  • Excellent command of email marketing best practices.
  • Intense attention to detail with solid self-organization skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining excellence in client service.
  • Able to work independently in a changing environment, meet tight deadlines, exercise good judgment to set and meet results-oriented goals.
  • Some travel required; ability to work off-hours in support of client meetings and events.
  • Excellence in MS Office or Google Suite products

Nice-to-have Experience and Qualifications:

  • Engaging Networks, Luminate, or EveryAction experience.
  • Experience leading accounts in an agency environment.
  • Proficient in digital advertising best practices and platform capabilities.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.
