Project Executive - Commercial Construction
Portland, ME
$140,000-$160,000 Base + Annual Bonus + ESOP
I'm partnering with a well-established, 100% employee-owned commercial general contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Executive to its leadership team.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple large commercial projects while providing executive-level guidance to Project Managers, developing client relationships and helping drive continued business growth.

Projects typically range from $10M-$75M+ throughout Maine.
What You'll Do
  • Provide executive oversight on multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Mentor and support Project Managers while helping ensure project success across schedule, budget and quality.
  • Partner with executive leadership on project strategy, risk management and operational planning.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with owners, architects, engineers and key clients.
  • Participate in business development efforts and help secure future work.
  • Lead contract strategy, financial oversight, forecasting, WIP reviews and overall project performance.
  • Identify project risks early and develop solutions that protect both the client and company.
  • Support preconstruction efforts, project pursuits and major client presentations.
  • Foster a collaborative culture while developing the next generation of project leadership.
What They're Looking For
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor.
  • Previous experience as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Proven success managing large commercial projects valued between $10M and $75M+.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring Project Managers and project teams.
  • Demonstrated business development and client relationship experience.
  • Excellent financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and WIP.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, procurement and construction operations.
  • Experience with Procore, Sage Timberline, MS Office and MS Project preferred.
