Job description

An established and well-respected restaurant group in the Birmingham area is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the next evolution of its culinary program. This opportunity is ideal for a chef who enjoys blending creativity with operational excellence and wants the opportunity to make a lasting impact on an established brand, or a Sous Chef looking to take an exciting next step in their career!

Executive Chef’s will be working a full-time position, with pay anticipated to be between $100,000-$120,000 plus opportunity for excellent bonuses. Starting pay will be based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, vacation/PTO, bonuses, and more.

Qualified Executive Chefs will possess most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Chef de Cuisine experience leading high-volume restaurant operations.
  • Proven success developing menus, seasonal features, and chef-driven specials with a passion for modernizing and elevating dining concepts.
  • Experience managing kitchen financials, including food cost, labor budgets, purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong leadership experience coaching and developing culinary teams, including Sous Chefs and back-of-house staff.
  • Culinary degree (preferred) and current ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) required.
