Client Overview
Our client, a respected mission-driven organization, is seeking an exceptionally polished Executive Assistant to the CEO to serve as a trusted strategic partner to their Chief Executive Officer. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned Executive Assistant who has directly supported a CEO and excels in high-level executive partnership, executive presence, and complex organizational management. This search is focused exclusively on candidates with recent, dedicated CEO support experience. Candidates who have supported global teams, departments, or executives without directly supporting a CEO will not be considered.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$40/hr +
$90k - $120k (Annually upon permanent conversion)
Position Overview
The Executive Assistant to the CEO will serve as the CEO's right hand, managing a demanding schedule while anticipating needs, protecting executive time, and ensuring seamless daily operations. This individual will interact regularly with executive leadership, board members, external partners, and key stakeholders and must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, executive maturity, sound judgment, and discretion. The ideal candidate is confident without being overbearing, proactive without requiring direction, and polished enough to represent the CEO and organization at the highest level. This role requires far more than strong administrative skills. Our client is seeking a career Executive Assistant with impeccable executive presence, outstanding communication skills, and the maturity to support a CEO at the highest level. The ideal candidate is proactive, poised, discreet, exceptionally polished, and accustomed to anticipating the needs of a Chief Executive Officer in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Of The Executive Assistant To The CEO
  • Provide dedicated, high-level support to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Manage an extremely complex executive calendar with competing priorities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, detailed itineraries, and logistics.
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Serve as gatekeeper for executive communications and scheduling.
  • Track strategic initiatives, action items, and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate executive leadership meetings and follow-up activities.
  • Process executive expenses, contracts, invoices, and reimbursements.
  • Manage confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Partner with senior leadership and board-level stakeholders on executive initiatives.
  • Support special projects and executive priorities as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills For The Executive Assistant To The CEO
  • Minimum 10 years of Executive Assistant experience.
  • Recent experience directly supporting a CEO is required.
  • Candidates without dedicated CEO support experience will not be considered.
  • Exceptional executive presence, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced calendar management and executive travel coordination experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to anticipate executive needs with minimal direction.
  • Proven ability to manage highly confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Executive Assistant To The CEO
  • Previous experience supporting CEOs within financial services, investment firms, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and executive operations.
  • Comfortable transitioning between corporate and nonprofit environments.
  • Familiarity with Asana and Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Concur required; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
Education Requirements
