The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our hospital facility located in Reno, providing care to a diverse patient population. This position offers a structured work schedule, with 8-hour shifts primarily during the day from Monday to Friday, and includes participation in the on-call rotation for Saturdays. • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and create effective treatment plans.
• Administer medications, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatments in accordance with established protocols, ensuring adherence to patient safety standards.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to tailor individualized patient care plans, facilitating smooth transitions throughout the healthcare process.
• Perform necessary medical procedures such as suturing, administering injections, and interpreting laboratory results, while ensuring accurate documentation of procedures and patient interactions.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on health management, preventative care, and follow-up treatments, fostering a supportive and informative environment.
• Engage in clinical documentation practices that comply with legal and ethical standards, enhancing the continuity of care through efficient record-keeping.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, training sessions, and professional development activities to stay current with medical advancements and practices.
• Maintain open communication with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to promote a collaborative and patient-centered care culture.

The PA will be responsible for a varied patient demographic, encompassing individuals with acute and chronic health conditions. This role requires the ability to manage complex cases and develop care strategies tailored to the unique needs of each patient, reinforcing a patient-centric approach to healthcare delivery. • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nevada.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (Preferred).

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage patient data accurately and efficiently.

• Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
• Background in patient education and community health initiatives.
• Experience with specific medical procedures relevant to the department specialty.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 180,000, reflecting experience, qualifications, and the specific demands of the role.
