Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, located in Empire, Nevada. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing follow-up care for our diverse patient population, contributing to their overall health.
• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and various healthcare professionals to form and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform a range of medical procedures specific to the surgical environment, strictly following safety protocols to ensure the well-being of every patient.
• On-Call Coverage: Participate in the on-call rotation, including Saturdays, to provide essential care and support during emergencies or urgent situations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, detailing medical histories, treatment courses, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Patient Education: Empower patients and their families by providing education on treatment options, medical conditions, and preventive healthcare, fostering informed decision-making.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant medical regulations, policies, and ethical standards in practice, safeguarding the integrity of our healthcare services.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning by attending workshops, seminars, and training programs, ensuring you remain up-to-date with medical advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will engage with a diverse group of patients, ranging from surgical candidates to those requiring postoperative care. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Certification and licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Nevada.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a surgical setting or acute care environment is highly desirable.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of clinical documentation practices.
• Demonstrated ability to educate and communicate complex medical information to a lay audience.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time Physician Assistant role ranges from USD 90,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
