Job Description:


Sprague Excavating, LLC is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Drainage Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of agricultural drainage systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of drainage tile and other components of farm drainage systems.
  • Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including shovels, picks, and trenchers.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Prepare job sites for drainage installations, including clearing debris and leveling ground.
  • Assist in the operation of heavy machinery, such as excavators and backhoes (with appropriate training and supervision).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction or landscaping is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
