Project Management - Assistant Project Manager
Job description:
Position Overview:
As a Construction Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing and supporting construction projects from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety standards. Additionally, you will oversee all Dig Safe operations, ensuring that all excavation activities are properly coordinated and compliant with local and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Assistant Project Manager:
Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects.
Coordinate daily operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Assist in managing and tracking project costs and budgets.
Facilitate communication between the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Address any on-site issues or delays and provide solutions.
Dig Safe Coordinator:
Coordinate and ensure compliance with all Dig Safe regulations and procedures.
Submit Dig Safe requests for excavation and utility work.
Maintain accurate records of Dig Safe notifications and responses.
Communicate with utility companies and local authorities to ensure proper marking and protection of underground utilities.
Conduct site visits to verify compliance with Dig Safe requirements.
Provide training and support to construction teams regarding Dig Safe policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
Certification or training in Dig Safe/Utility Coordination is a plus.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project management software.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and RMV driving history reviewal
Willingness to travel throughout New England.
