What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Jobs that can pay $4,000 a week without requiring a degree include skilled trades such as electrical work, plumbing, or HVAC installation, which often pay high wages for experienced workers. Additionally, roles like commercial truck drivers, sales managers, or certain construction supervisors can reach this income level with relevant experience and certifications. These jobs typically demand specialized skills, on-the-job training, or licensing but not necessarily a college degree.

How does Dig Safe make money?

As a job role, Dig Safe typically involves working for utility companies or contractors to mark underground utility lines, and the company or organization may generate revenue through service contracts, safety programs, or utility fees. The job itself does not directly generate income but supports safety and infrastructure maintenance that benefits the utility providers or clients involved.

What are some common challenges Dig Safe technicians face when coordinating with contractors and utility companies?

Dig Safe technicians often encounter challenges such as communicating clearly with multiple contractors, ensuring accurate site markings under tight deadlines, and managing unexpected changes in excavation plans. Coordinating with utility companies can require strong organizational skills, as technicians must verify utility maps and respond quickly to emergencies or last-minute locate requests. Effective teamwork, attention to detail, and adaptability are crucial for maintaining safety and minimizing project delays.

What is Dig Safe and what does a Dig Safe employee do?

Dig Safe is a system and service that helps prevent damage to underground utility lines during excavation or digging projects. A Dig Safe employee typically processes requests from homeowners, contractors, and utility companies about planned digging, then notifies utility operators to mark their underground lines at the site. Their role is crucial for public safety, as it helps avoid accidental damage to gas, water, electric, and communication lines. By coordinating communication and ensuring proper marking, Dig Safe employees help reduce outages, injuries, and costly repairs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Dig Safe Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Dig Safe Technician, you need knowledge of utility line locating, safety regulations, and the ability to read site maps, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with line locating equipment, GIS mapping systems, and industry-specific safety certifications such as OSHA are essential. Attention to detail, strong communication, and problem-solving skills help technicians effectively coordinate with contractors and property owners. These skills and qualifications are crucial to prevent utility damage, ensure public safety, and maintain compliance with local and federal regulations.

Job description

Senior Project Manager - Landscape Construction & Development

About Us

The Company's platform is ranked among North America's top 20 landscape service providers. Collectively, the Company's partner companies bring more than 200 years of expert landscape maintenance, enhancement, construction, sweeping, portering and critical winter services with a reputation for excellence in client service.

Incumbent partner leaders guide day-to-day operations with teams that value and prioritize safety, employee wellbeing and dynamic career pathways.

Position Summary

Outdoor Pride is hiring a Senior Project Manager to help lead our landscape development team through a period of growth. This person will run a book of our largest and most complex construction projects while beginning to mentor newer Project Managers — helping the team scale as we add headcount. This is a coordination- and leadership-focused role, not a hands-on field position: the Senior Project Manager directs the work rather than performing it.

Reports To: Landscape Development Manager/Senior VP

Location: Hopkinton, MA

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a book of complex, higher-value construction projects — commercial, HOA, office park, and municipal landscape and hardscape work, including increasingly intricate scope (structural hardscape, specialty materials, granite, and similar)
  • Own job budgets and margin from bid handoff through final billing; track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs against estimate
  • Serve as primary client-facing contact for owners, GCs, and property managers on complex jobs; run progress meetings and manage change orders
  • Coordinate FOMs and Crew Leaders across multiple simultaneous jobsites (crews of 3, scaling to multiple crews on larger jobs)
  • Lead subcontractor negotiations and scope management on higher-complexity hardscape work
  • Mentor and help train newer Project Managers — sharing knowledge on estimating, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client communication as the team grows
  • Partner with the Landscape Development Manager on submittals, purchasing, and recruiting/hiring for the development team
  • Own Dig Safe compliance, safety standards, and quality control across assigned projects
  • Lead snow account operations and area management during winter months, including 24/7 availability during snow events

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track record managing landscape and/or hardscape construction projects at increasing scope, complexity, and dollar value
  • Experience negotiating and holding subcontractors accountable on complex scope (structural hardscape, specialty materials)
  • Comfortable owning job costing and margin performance, not just field execution
  • Experience mentoring, training, or developing junior team members preferred
  • Excellent attitude, high learning agility, and strong prioritization and time-management skills

Growth Opportunity

This role is positioned to grow in scope and responsibility as the Company's development team expands, with the opportunity to take on broader team leadership over time.
