Event Operations Supervisor (Waste & Recycling)Rose Quarter | Portland, ORTemp-to-Hire | Overnight Event SchedulePosition Overview

We are seeking an Event Operations Supervisor to lead post-event waste and recycling operations at the Rose Quarter in Portland, with potential future opportunities across additional major venues.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing cleanup crews after concerts, sporting events, and large-scale entertainment events. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced, overnight environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
  • Supervise and support 10–12 event staff per shift

  • Assign tasks and ensure efficient completion of cleanup operations

  • Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to site expectations

  • Provide on-the-ground leadership and issue resolution during shifts

Event Cleanup Operations
  • Oversee sorting of trash, recycling, and compost materials

  • Ensure proper handling and organization of all waste streams

  • Support operations at Rose Quarter and Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Timekeeping & Reporting
  • Verify employee attendance and work hours

  • Manage manual time sheets and photo-based verification

  • Submit accurate records for payroll and client invoicing

On-Site Coordination
  • Act as primary point of contact during assigned shifts
