About this Opportunity:

As an Events Manager, you have a pivotal role being responsible for planning, organizing, and executing corporate events to support the organization's objectives and enhance its brand image. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and project management skills to deliver memorable and impactful events. The Events Manager works closely with various internal stakeholders, including senior management, departments, and external vendors, to ensure seamless execution and successful outcomes for each event. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.

It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work as a Hybrid employee, with three (3) or more days each week required on-site at one of the listed office locations.

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to an office. Internal candidates currently aligned to an Orion office location may be given preference; however, internal candidates with varying work arrangements may be considered based on experience and business needs. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate events strategy aligned with the organization's goals and brand identity

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand event objectives, themes, and key messages

  • Conduct thorough event needs assessments to determine the scope, budget, and resources required for each event

  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each corporate event

  • Oversee event logistics, including catering, audiovisual requirements, and event website/registration

  • Manage event timelines and critical path milestones to ensure timely execution and delivery of all event elements

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of event logistics

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop event concepts, themes, branding, and collateral

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and adherence to financial goals

  • Conduct financial analysis and negotiation with vendors to optimize cost savings and achieve the best value for the organization

  • Track and monitor event expenses, providing regular reports to senior management

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, to understand their event requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

  • Liaises with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors, managing relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure high-quality services at competitive prices

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders

  • Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to develop event promotion and communication strategies

  • Collaborate on the creation of event collateral, including invitations, agendas, signage, and digital media

  • Leverage various marketing channels, such as social media, email campaigns, and website updates, to drive event awareness and registrations

  • Has financial acumen to develop and manage event budgets effectively

  • Has flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required

  • Has Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Possess minimum of 5 years in planning and executing corporate events

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

  • Has ability to travel approximately 25%

Salary Range:

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
