Activities Assistant

Full-Time | Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to help plan and lead meaningful recreational, social, and enrichment activities for our residents. This role is key to supporting emotional well-being, engagement, and quality of life in our community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and facilitating group and individual activities
• Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs
• Observe and document resident engagement, mood, and response to activities
• Escort residents to and from activities and events
• Assist with parties, games, crafts, movies, and special events
• Support in-room residents with one-on-one engagement as needed
• Coordinate activities with nursing and other departments
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of activity areas
• Drive facility vehicle for outings and events as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and staff
• Friendly, patient, and dependable
• Creative, organized, and adaptable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience with seniors is helpful but not required

Physical Requirements

• Standing and moving throughout the facility
• Assisting residents with mobility and transportation as needed
• Lifting and moving supplies or equipment
