Position Specific Summary
The University Student Center is seeking a Student Events Assistant to play a vital role in supporting a variety of events for student organizations, external partners, and faculty/staff.
The student will deliver excellent customer service to event hosts and participants.
In this role, you may participate in the creation and/or distribution of event materials, and provide on-site technical support to ensure presentations and meetings run smoothly. For example, you'll assist guests with accessing easels, accessing rooms, and establishing or troubleshoot audiovisual (AV) technology equipment.
Students should feel confident with technology, interacting with clients, faculty and staff, enjoy problem-solving, and be eager to contribute to the success of campus events.
Standard Position Description
The student will perform basic administrative and logistical tasks supporting events. Tasks may include: event registration and check in, guest/patron services, scheduling of events, assisting with event set up and take down, participate in the creation and/or distribution of event materials. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
