Who We are looking for:
The Events & Promotions Supervisor supports the planning, coordination, and execution of casino promotions, special events, and marketing initiatives designed to enhance the guest experience and drive player engagement. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the Events & Promotions team, ensuring promotions and events are executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with company standards, internal controls, and applicable gaming regulations. The ideal candidate is an energetic, organized, and customer-focused leader who can motivate a team, resolve guest concerns, and effectively collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
What is expected of You:
  • Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of Events & Promotions team members, providing direction, coaching, and feedback to ensure high-quality guest service and successful event execution.
  • Assist the Events & Promotions Manager with planning, coordinating, and executing casino promotions, giveaways, drawings, tournaments, special events, and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the on-site execution of promotions and events, including team assignments, event setup, guest flow, promotional materials, prize distribution, and breakdown.
  • Ensure cardholder attendance and participation are accurately recorded in the casino management system for promotions, giveaways, events, and drawings.
  • Monitor promotional kiosks and other event technology, ensuring team members are prepared to assist guests and resolve routine issues.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered and address guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
  • Assist with emceeing, public announcements, drawings, prize presentations, and other guest-facing activities to create an engaging and memorable experience.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Player Development, Casino Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of on-site and off-site promotions and special events.
  • Assist with scheduling and deployment of team members to ensure adequate coverage for promotions, special events, and business needs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current and upcoming promotions, events, player programs, procedures, and applicable rules so information communicated to guests is accurate and consistent.
  • Ensure promotional areas, equipment, signage, prizes, and supplies are organized, properly maintained, and ready for use before and throughout events.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable gaming regulations, and promptly report discrepancies or concerns to management.
  • Assist with training and onboarding Events & Promotions team members on promotional procedures, guest service expectations, technology, and event standards.
  • Complete required event documentation, records, and reports accurately and within established timelines.
  • Support off-site marketing promotions and community events as needed, representing American Place Casino in a professional manner.
  • Assist with evaluating event execution and identifying opportunities to improve processes, guest engagement, and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience You will need:
  • 2-3 years of experience in event planning, event operations, hospitality, catering, casino events, or a related field; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating events from initial planning and client communication through execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and managing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring all event details, timelines, room setups, food and beverage requirements, audiovisual needs, and operational instructions are accurate.
  • Experience using Event Temple or a similar event management platform to create and maintain event bookings, proposals, client information, event details, and related documentation.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and managing event contracts, proposals, agreements, and other event-related documents.
  • Strong understanding of event logistics, including event timelines, room layouts, setup and breakdown, staffing, vendors, food and beverage coordination, audiovisual needs, guest flow, and day-of-event execution.
  • Ability to work directly with clients to understand event objectives, coordinate details, manage expectations, and ensure a successful guest experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to ensure all event requirements are communicated and executed accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, coach, and support Events & Promotions team members during event setup and execution.
  • Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills; experience with emceeing, event hosting, or facilitating events preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize casino management systems and event-related technology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules as business needs require.
  • Professional appearance and ability to represent American Place Casino positively when interacting with guests, clients, vendors, community partners, and team members.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds of promotional materials, signage, prize items, and event equipment; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb ladders or step stools as necessary for event setup and breakdown.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through public announcements or microphone use during events.
  • Ability to operate computers, tablets, kiosks, point-of-sale systems, and other office or event-related equipment.
  • Ability to visually inspect promotional materials, signage, and documentation, and accurately read computer screens and printed materials.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to loud noise, flashing lights, secondhand smoke where permitted, and large crowds on the casino floor.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
