EVENT TECHNICIAN
Janitorial / Event Services Team
Reports To: Operations Manager or Account Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Flexible hours based on events and operational needs (no set daily schedule)

The Event Technician plays a key role in bringing campus events to life! From setting up large-scale celebrations to resetting classrooms and event spaces, you help create clean, safe, and fully prepared environments that support students, faculty, and guests every day.
If you enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same-this is the role for you!
What You'll Do
Event Setup & Breakdown
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, staging, and event equipment
  • Prepare spaces for meetings, athletics, ceremonies, and special events
  • Reset venues quickly and accurately after events
  • Support last-minute changes and special requests

Moving & Relocation Support
  • Safely move furniture, equipment, and supplies across campus
  • Reconfigure offices and classrooms as needed
  • Protect and transport items using proper equipment and techniques
  • Report damages or safety concerns immediately

Cleaning & Facility Care
  • Perform general cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal)
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and high-traffic areas
  • Complete post-event cleanup and facility restoration
  • Support janitorial team during peak needs

⚙ Equipment & Safety
  • Operate dollies, hand trucks, vacuums, and related equipment
  • Inspect equipment before use and report issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Customer Service & Teamwork
  • Communicate professionally with staff, students, and guests
  • Respond quickly to work orders and event needs
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in moving services, janitorial work, events, or facilities preferred
