Event Software information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Event Software Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Event Software Specialist, you need expertise in event management processes, strong IT skills, and a relevant degree or experience in software support. Familiarity with popular event management platforms (like Cvent or Eventbrite), CRM systems, and troubleshooting methodologies is often necessary. Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation help specialists effectively support event organizers and attendees. These skills ensure smooth event operations, high user satisfaction, and quick resolution of technical issues.

What is event software?

Event software refers to digital tools or platforms designed to help plan, manage, and execute events such as conferences, meetings, trade shows, or virtual gatherings. These solutions often provide features like online registration, ticketing, scheduling, attendee engagement, analytics, and virtual event hosting. By automating many tasks and centralizing information, event software streamlines the event planning process and enhances the attendee experience. It can be used by event organizers, venues, or businesses to improve efficiency and track event success.

How does an Event Software Specialist typically collaborate with event planners and other teams during the planning process?

Event Software Specialists work closely with event planners, marketing teams, and technical staff to ensure seamless integration and operation of event management platforms. They are often responsible for customizing software to meet specific event needs, providing training for users, and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise. Regular communication with stakeholders is essential to gather requirements and provide updates, making collaboration and adaptability key aspects of the role. This teamwork helps deliver successful events and ensures that the technology supports all event objectives.

What is the difference between Event Software vs Event Coordinator?

While Event Software involves using digital tools to streamline planning and management, Event Coordinators handle the hands-on organization of events. Both roles are essential, with software supporting the coordinator's tasks to ensure successful event execution.

Job description

Event Stylist By Landmark Hospitality
The planner's planner.
Every client and couple walks in with a big vision and a few butterflies. You're the one who handles both. Our Event Stylists are the calm at the center of life's happiest, busiest moments: part designer, part host, all planner. You make the complicated feel simple, the stressful feel handled, and every wedding and celebration feel like a one-of-one. Because it is.
If love the phrase, "so, tell me everything," this might be your favorite job.
Who we are - By Landmark is a leader in hospitality, owning and operating some of the region's most iconic venues such as Liberty House, Hudson House, Stone House, the Ryland Inn, Farmhouse, and Felina in New Jersey, and Hotel Du Village, the Logan Inn, and Cascade Lodge in Pennsylvania. Upscale restaurants, unforgettable event spaces, and boutique hotels, all built around one idea: creating memories our guests keep for a lifetime.
Our approach to hiring is simple. We look for thoughtful, caring, forward-thinking people who inspire and collaborate. Experience is always valued, but character is the true mark of a memorymaker.
What you'll do - Be the person a couple trusts with the biggest day of their lives, from the first hello to the last dance and the rock our corporate and social clients rely on.
  • Meet with couples and clients, listen closely, and gather every detail that makes their day theirs.
  • Show off our spaces so beautifully that guests can already picture themselves in them.
  • Design and produce the event start to finish (the vision, the timeline, the thousand little touches)
  • Keep clients in the loop and at ease, anticipating needs before they're spoken.
  • Research, quote, and close with both confidence and care.
  • Partner with our vendors and lead the event team so the day runs like clockwork.
  • Be the steady hand on the day itself, keeping everything seamless and on time.
  • Follow up warmly after every appointment and every event.
  • Roll with changes, guest wishes, and the happy chaos of a great celebration.

What you bring
  • 5+ years of event sales experience in upscale, fine-dining event spaces is preferred
  • A real passion for hospitality and the art of the event.
  • Comfortable with event software (Tripleseat is a big plus) and MS Office.
  • Warm, polished, and personable, a presence that puts people instantly at ease.
  • Sharp time management, excellent communication, and a gift for building relationships.
  • The ability to manage multiple events at once, independently, and keep every detail on track.
  • A strong work ethic, a client-first approach, and grace under pressure.
  • Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays - Wednesday through Sunday availability is a must (it's where the magic happens).
  • Experience with brides and corporate clients

What we offer
  • Competitive Salary + Commission
  • 401(k) matching
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Employee dining discount
  • Career advancement and real room to grow
  • Team engagement activities
  • A team that truly roots for you
