Job description
Who We Are:
SiriusXM and its brands (Pandora, SiriusXM Media, AdsWizz, Simplecast, and SiriusXM Connect) are leading a new era of audio entertainment and services by delivering the most compelling subscription and ad-supported audio entertainment experience for listeners -- in the car, at home, and anywhere on the go with connected devices. Our vision is to shape the future of audio, where everyone can be effortlessly connected to the voices, stories and music they love wherever they are.
This is the place where a diverse group of emerging talent and legends alike come to share authentic and purposeful songs, stories, sounds and insights through some of the best programming and technology in the world. Our critically-acclaimed, industry-leading audio entertainment encompasses music, sports, comedy, news, talk, live events, and podcasting. No matter their individual role, each of our employees plays a vital part in bringing SiriusXM's vision to life every day.
SiriusXM is the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and the premier programmer and platform for subscription and digital advertising-supported audio products. SiriusXM's platforms collectively reach approximately 150 million listeners, the largest digital audio audience across paid and free tiers in North America, and deliver music, sports, talk, news, comedy, entertainment and podcasts. Pandora, a subsidiary of SiriusXM, is the largest ad-supported audio entertainment streaming service in the U.S. SiriusXM's subsidiaries Simplecast and AdsWizz make it a leader in podcast hosting, production, distribution, analytics and monetization. The Company's advertising sales organization, which operates as SiriusXM Media, leverages its scale, cross-platform sales organization and ad tech capabilities to deliver results for audio creators and advertisers. SiriusXM, through SiriusXM Canada Holdings, Inc., also offers satellite radio and audio entertainment in Canada. In addition to its audio entertainment businesses, SiriusXM offers connected vehicle services to automakers.
How you'll make an impact:
Work both in the studio and behind the scenes on a variety of Sports, Talk, Music and Entertainment programs and initiatives across the SiriusXM platform. Responsible for the operation and quality of all studio equipment used to support live and pre-recorded programs. Incumbents of this position show strong technical and communication skills, thoroughly understanding all software, hardware and workflows, with an ability to correctly explain solutions to constituents and write up escalations as concisely. Working closely with Broadcast Ops to ensure both studio and remote events go flawlessly. Engaging with external engineers and venues on preparation and testing. Providing ongoing oversight and support throughout live events and during troubleshooting needs.
This role coordinates day-to-day operational execution and escalations within established broadcast standards, workflows, and support paths (it does not own enterprise-wide platform strategy or cross-department technical roadmaps).
What you'll do:
- Support all Sports, Talk, Music and Entertainment Programming, both Live and pre-recorded, from planning to completion with real-time assistance and guidance.
- Subject Matter Expert on Remote Studio Producers equipment and workflows (including standard setup, testing, and common issue resolution).
- Provide comprehensive training for Remote and In Studio Producers.
- Continually monitor to ensure that on-air product is up to broadcast standards both before it leaves the studios and implement corrective steps to improve for future broadcasts.
- Work with producers and talent to correct a range of issues and teach best practices.
- Vet new broadcast equipment and workflows before being put into production and create documentation to distribute to end-users and other SMEs.
- Coordinate with external locations to pave the way for successful remote broadcasts.
- Collaborate with our Remote Operations team to ensure remote locations meet our broadcast specifications.
- Answer our 24/7 Programming Operations Hotline and group email distribution to help a wide range of co-workers resolve issues.
- Advocate for expeditious resolution of issues by routing incidents to the appropriate owning teams and documenting symptoms, impact, and steps taken.
- Work with producers after any shortcomings to make sure they're better informed and prepared for subsequent broadcasts.
- Assist with Disaster Recovery planning, testing and documentation.
- Onboard new content, ensuring smooth and efficient setup.
- Fulfill hosting and distribution requests from internal teams and partners.
- Support daily operations of proprietary systems, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance of operational information.
- Support and execute special projects as assigned, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
What you'll need:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in podcast operations, digital media, broadcast operations, or related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency.
- Ability to multitask and work independently, with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems creatively within established workflows and escalation paths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- At least 1 year of experience running an audio console.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work days, nights, and weekends.
- Must be able to work in all areas of Talk, Sports, Music and Entertainment Programming, including news, politics, and pop culture.
- Ability to work with talent and other high-profile individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to project professionalism virtually and in person.
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Skills:
- Broadcast / Programming Operations
- Live & Pre-Recorded Show Support
- Remote Broadcast Coordination
- Troubleshooting & Escalation Documentation
- Training & Documentation
Technical skills:
- Previous use of broadcast operation software (Zetta/RCS, Dalet/Galaxy, etc.)

- Mixing and coordinating sound elements into a professional sounding on-air product
- Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Experience with Salesforce and Monday.com are a plus.
