Our global exhibition program expands beyond our locations in New York, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Paris, representing seventy artists and estates. Home to innovative, singular, and pioneering exhibitions across a variety of media and genres. Active in both the primary and secondary markets, David Zwirner has helped foster the careers of some of the most influential artists today.

Who will work well with us:

  • The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or is eager to learn.
  • We welcome all individuals entering the workforce, those moving into a new stage of their career or vocation, making a change, returning to work, and those wanting to learn and grow within the industry, to apply.

About the Opportunity

Sales Intern

David Zwirner is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Intern to support the Sales Team in New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a leading contemporary art gallery. Ideal candidates will be organized, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic environment.

What you'll do:

  • Provide administrative and project support to the Front Desk and larger Sales Team.
  • Assist with exhibition-related tasks, including:
    • Support gallery openings and events.
    • Act as a gallery attendant, ensuring the security and presentation of artwork.
    • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the public, answering questions about current exhibitions and the gallery's programming.
  • Support the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages for the Tribeca location.
  • Prepare materials for client viewings and assist with client book mailings as requested.
  • Maintain and update internal resource documents.
  • Routinely restock supplies, including staff kitchens.
  • Ensure the pristine appearance of workstations.

What we would like you to have:

  • Highly personable, focused, and hardworking nature.
  • A detail-oriented eye for the aesthetic needs of an efficient, organized, elevated office space.
  • Ability to exercise diligence, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management.
  • A positive, helpful, team player attitude.
  • A strong interest in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape of the art world.

This internship runs from September 8th - December 18th, 2026. This position is Tuesday-Saturday 10AM - 6PM with additional hours for occasional evening events, and switches to part time (3.5 days a week or less) from December 8th to the 18th. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $17/hour. All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided.

Please submit a resume and cover letter.
