Introduction to Sports Event Management Description: This course provides a basic understanding of the event management process as it relates to sporting events. Students will explore costs and revenue streams, marketing strategies, community and media partnerships, risk management, and contemporary issues for sporting events.
Esports Management Course Description: This course studies the business and management of esports within the sports and tourism industries. Students explore how competitive gaming is organized, marketed, and monetized, with attention to event operations, sponsorship, branding, fan engagement, and the economic impact on host destinations. Emphasis is placed on applying sports management principles to live and digital gaming environments.
Event Risk Management Course Description: This course examines risk management practices in sports and special events. Students learn to identify, assess, and mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks while developing strategies for safety, security, and crisis response. - Candidates should minimally hold a Master's Degree in Hospitality and Tourism, Sports Management, Recreation, Esports Management, Event Management or related field from an accredited university

- Ability to utilize Learning Management System(D2L) for courses
- Priority will be given to those who have previous university teaching experience and/or industry experience with Sports Event Management, Esports, or Event Risk Management.
- Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
