Job description

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America's boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country's biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

Our Development events team designs and executes thoughtful, high-impact content across a portfolio of events - from intimate convenings to large-scale tentpole experiences.

We are seeking an Event Project Manager to oversee timelines and deliverables across all phases of event planning and execution. This mid-level role is ideal for a highly organized, detailoriented professional who can effectively coordinate stakeholders and drive progress against critical milestones. The Event Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (events, operations, creative, partnerships, and communications) to ensure the successful delivery of key events.

How You Will Contribute

Project Management

  • Plan and manage Stand Together's portfolio of small and large-scale Development events and experiences.

  • Create timelines and deadlines; track critical elements of event production across stakeholders and executives, ensuring priorities are executed in an efficient and scalable process.

  • Identify and refine processes to optimize long-term event strategy, consistently elevating operational excellence.

Data, Task & Schedule Management

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure deliverables are understood, deadlines are upheld, and contingencies are implemented.

  • Provide regular updates on project status and milestones using established management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Asana, internal resources).

  • Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-ups to ensure clear next steps and accountability.

Onsite & Event Support

  • Provide onsite support as needed, including schedule management, general staffing assignments, and real-time coordination.

  • Support post-event wrap-up activities, including notes, feedback collection, and documentation of learnings.

What You Will Bring
  • 2-4 years of experience managing creative, event-based, or program-based projects.
  • Ability to complete multiple events and projects in a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of stakeholders, including executives.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong adaptability, strategic thinking, and proactive initiative.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, calendars, and task-management tools.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
What We Offer
  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.
  • Competitive compensation: Our approach rewards the value you create through competitive salaries and bonus opportunities, allowing you to share in the success you help drive.
Our Values: Working for an organization within the Stand Together philanthropic community is different from many other places. The culture is deeply rooted in Principle Based Management (PBM), a framework guided by the principles that drive human progress, such as dignity, openness, and bottom-up empowerment. PBM empowers employees to be entrepreneurial, to innovate, and to continually drive transformation.

We believe diversity fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success.  That is why we're proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and strive to treat all employees and applicants with honesty, dignity, and respect.
