Job description

About Cadence 3

Cadence 3 is a woman-owned marketing, events, and content agency that builds strategy-led programs for discerning clients and some of the biggest brands in technology.

We do not measure success by what we produced, where we showed up, or how many tasks were completed. We measure success by the impact and outcomes we help our clients achieve.

Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, marketing, customer experience, content, and execution. We build brands, campaigns, programs, and experiences that create connection, drive engagement, support sales and marketing goals, and turn important moments into momentum.

We are hiring for the company we are building with an eye to where the industry and our clients are going. We pride ourselves on being early adopters, focusing on staying ahead of attendee and industry trends, and always innovating.

The bar is high. The work is fast, detailed, and often complex. Our clients expect clarity, judgment, polish, ownership, and follow-through. In return, Cadence 3 offers meaningful work, strong benefits, remote flexibility, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to help shape the next stage of a growing agency.

Role Overview

Cadence 3 is hiring a Senior Event Marketing Project Manager to bring structure, clarity, and accountability to complex event marketing programs.

This role is ideal for someone who lives in the details but understands the bigger picture. You will own the operating rhythm of delivery: workbacks, milestones, budgets, schedules, dependencies, client updates, internal accountability, and risk management.

This is a strategic delivery role. The right person will make it easier for senior leaders and client teams to make decisions, move quickly, and deliver high-quality work. This role should reduce friction, not add overhead.

Previous experience supporting Microsoft or enterprise technology clients is a strong plus.

What You Will Own

  • Build and manage detailed event project plans, workbacks, schedules, milestone trackers, and delivery systems.
  • Own project status across multiple event workstreams.
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, decisions, approvals, and next steps.
  • Prepare clear client-ready status updates and internal project updates.
  • Manage meeting agendas, notes, action items, and follow-up.
  • Partner with event leads, account leads, content teams, creative teams, registration teams, and production teams.
  • Ensure timelines are realistic, visible, and actively managed.
  • Identify missed milestones or at-risk items early and drive remedy plans.
  • Support budget tracking, PO tracking, vendor deliverables, and scope management.
  • Maintain shared documentation, project folders, source-of-truth trackers, and project records.
  • Improve project systems, templates, and documentation to help the team scale.
  • Support onsite execution as needed.

What Success Looks Like

  • Project status is always clear, accurate, and current.
  • Clients and internal teams know what is due, what is at risk, what decision is needed, and who owns the next step.
  • Project plans are not static documents. They are actively managed systems that drive delivery.
  • Senior team members can rely on your tracking, communication, and follow-through.
  • Risks are surfaced early and paired with practical solutions.
  • The work moves faster because you bring structure, clarity, and accountability.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of project management experience in events, marketing, agency services, client delivery, or production.
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, trackers, milestones, budgets, and dependencies.
  • Experience supporting client-facing programs with multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong meeting management and follow-through.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and build the system or process required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools, Zoho or similar project management systems, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise technology clients preferred.

The Bar for This Role

You can walk into a complex client conversation, understand the business goal, define the event strategy, build the plan, lead the team, manage the details, and deliver an experience that feels polished, intentional, and effective.

You understand that execution and strategy are both required. You are as comfortable building a workback as you are shaping the client conversation around audience, outcomes, and impact.

Role Details

  • Full-time employee role.

  • Managed services client delivery model.

  • Remote work flexibility with alignment to U.S. West Coast business hours.

  • Travel expected based on client and program needs.

Equal Opportunity

Cadence 3 is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a range of backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and strengths. We welcome qualified applicants and evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, alignment to the role, and ability to contribute to the work and culture of Cadence 3.
