Job description

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing water and wastewater projects of varying complexity, and ensuring all projects are delivered to internal and external in accordance with the agreed to scope, schedule and budget. This position also requires working with the Department Director on various business development activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with marketing and technical staff to develop proposal sections, technical approaches and scopes of work.
  • Participate in client management for assigned key clients
  • Drive/travel to client meetings, field work, and site inspections.
  • Identify and market additional business opportunities with key clients
  • Support business development by seeking new work, attending networking events, presenting at various venues, etc.
  • Assist the Department Director with Department and Business initiatives
  • Facilitate the necessary inter-disciplinary coordination inside and outside the Department required to execute projects
  • Execute the design to the appropriate level of detail in a manner that minimizes risk to the firm
  • Operate as a client service manager to maintain existing relationships and establish new ones

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 10-14 years of experience serving municipal clients involving planning, consulting, design, and construction services for a wide variety of services including water and wastewater planning and design

  • Proficiency in stormwater design is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated experience in successful project management, client interaction, and staff development
