Job description

Men in Blazers is the No. 1 Soccer Media Network in the U.S. With a wide reach and a diverse, vocal fan base, we engage with teams, players, celebrity fans, and brands we love, to share our passion for soccer across the nation. Using humor, emotion, intelligence, and to-the-minute pop cultural aptitude, we provide fans with unique content that breaks down the biggest stories in the game in ways that are authentic, meaningful, and compulsively entertaining.

We are looking for a Coordinator, Production & Live Events to support the Live Event Production team in the continuous operation of our live production and events schedule. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all of the many moving parts of our production and event operations are functioning properly, and on schedule.

Coordinator, Production & Live Events

Location: NY/East Coast, United States, Remote

What you’ll do:
  • Play a supporting role in coordination and logistics for all Men in Blazers Media Network live shows from kickoff through final delivery.
  • Maintain high level documents in the live events Google Drive folders; including run of shows, event guides, workback calendars, and tech books to adhere to best practices.
  • Vet initial venue technical capabilities, and communicate both technical production updates as well as logistics to the venue production team.
  • Kickstart research for all initial event needs including venues, vendors, and hotels.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure all graphics adhere to the needs of our signage requirements.
  • Oversee the VIP check in process, act as the point of contact for vendors and coordinate all on-site meals for the crew while on-site.
  • Provide accurate post-show reporting for ticket sales and attendee records along with the creation of any/all post-mortem documents.
  • Coordinate logistics for any freelance technical crew members including hotel and flight bookings
  • Work closely with the Live Events team to communicate any/all changes or updates to the larger Men in Blazers group or external partners
  • Maintain clear communications with the Partnerships team to ensure all requested deliverables are achievable.
  • Support budget tracking, purchase orders, invoices, and other administrative production needs
  • Add live event dates to all main MiB production calendars (Google Sheet, Google Calendar) to ensure they reflect all scheduled events.
  • Manage Google Calendar invites for all live production events, pre- and post-production calls ensuring they are sent out immediately upon confirmation and include appropriate parties (internal and external) and appropriate links.
What you need:
  • 3+ years of experience in a live event and technical production environment, ideally at a media company.
  • A strong attention to detail and highly organized while operating in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to make quick priority decisions in pre-production, as well as while on site.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of event and production tools (SocialTables, Adobe Creative Suite, Tagboard)
  • Ability to maintain a professional and personable on-site presence at all events.
  • Ability to travel domestically with potential for some international travel.
  • Someone who is a self starter, flexible, and takes the initiative to quickly complete tasks.
  • A passion for the game of Soccer is a plus.
