Position Summary

This is a relationship-focused, collaborative role for someone who enjoys connecting community-based partners to meaningful, hands-on youth & family experiences. The Manager, Community Partnerships supports the development and coordination of programmatic partnerships that directly deliver Girl Scout programming across the community. Reporting to the Director of Community Partnerships, this role is part of the council's external partnerships team and works with an assigned portfolio of organizations and businesses that serve as program partners-providing expertise, activities, and experiences for Girl Scouts. The position focuses on day-to-day relationship management, cross-functional coordination, and strong program and event execution. This role works closely with internal teams-including membership, philanthropy, and marketing-to support partner-led programs, recruitment, and community engagement efforts, while helping ensure a positive and engaging experience for both partners and participants.

This is a remote position. Employee must reside within the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and attend regular in-person meetings that may occur across our council's 47 counties.

Responsibilities

Primary Areas of Focus

Partnership Coordination & Support

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with an assigned group of community and corporate partners, elevating the Girl Scout experience
  • Support partner communication, scheduling, and coordination for programs and events
  • Assist in identifying new partnership opportunities that expand access to Girl Scout programming
  • Help ensure partners have a positive and engaging experience working with Girl Scouts

Program & Event Execution

  • Support the planning and coordination of partner-supported programs and events throughout the year
  • Work with programmatic partners and internal teams to deliver engaging, hands-on experiences aligned with Girl Scout program pillars (STEAM, Entrepreneurship, Healthy Living, Outdoor, Civic Engagement)
  • Develop and adapt Girl Scout programming for diverse audiences (youth and adults), designing curriculum and/or program content connected to partner's field of expertise.
  • Maintain safe and successful execution of event/program standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular communication with assigned partners to support program planning and execution
  • Coordinate logistics and details for partner-supported programs and events
  • Support the implementation of partnership activities from initial coordination through follow-up
  • Assist in tracking program participation, partner engagement, and revenue/expense information
  • Contribute ideas for improving partner engagement and program delivery
  • Represent Girl Scouts professionally in interactions with partners and the community, including regularly attending partner events as needed

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting partnerships, community engagement, youth program development & delivery or fundraising event management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate logistics
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams preferred
  • Customer service or external-facing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., Airtable) a plus
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Working Conditions

  • Remote work environment with regular travel throughout the Kansas City metro area and council service region
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor environments during events
  • Evening and weekend hours required based on program and event schedules
