What You Will Do:
CORE, Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (formerly ACE), is the RTX operating system. It focuses on the drivers of competitive excellence - our people and our work processes. Our leadership and empowered employees work together to implement CORE practices in all our activities across every RTX business to benefit our customers and share owners. Selected applicant will be a key member of a dynamic team responsible for manufacturing process, business processes and some strategic alignment across the Module Center that will deliver to our military and commercial customers around the globe.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead CORE & Overall Continuous Improvement activities at the Turbine Module Center that drive tangible action and metric improvements across all manufacturing processes.
  • Collect, standardize, report, and automate where possible, Business Unit level, and HSMC South Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and utilize that data to identify areas that require improvement plans.
  • Manage and aid in deploying digital technology resources to improve metrics that are lagging with CORE specific activities.
  • Assess, establish and execute improvement plans for CT metrics, CORE maturity level, Standard Production System (SPS), OpX/WAVE, Industry 4.0, and other P&W and RTX initiatives.
  • Plan and lead business level CORE events, CORE Council Meetings & CORE Leadership Weeks, drive follow up actions and provide regular report outs to leadership team.
  • Establish & oversee CORE proficiency growth of the HSMC-S employee population working in collaboration with Black Belt & Red-X Specialists to leverage HSMC activities for broad employee skill growth.
  • Minimal travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications you must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics or Operations, Supply Chain or similar field and 7 years of experience; or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications we prefer:
  • CORE Apprentice Certification or 3 or more years of working experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, operations or preferably six sigma background
  • CORE Professional Certification, Six Sigma Training or other continuous improvement training
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage, work with, coach, motivate, and influence others.
  • Ability to work independently, while delivering on executive leadership expectations.
  • Experience/Proficiency using project management and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience leading large scale continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
  • Proven project management experience or certification.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
