Position Overview 

We are looking for a passionate hospitality professional to join our team at Anthology Events. As the Event Operations Manager, you will be expected to build and maintain a culture that reflects the core values of Method Co. You will take charge of supervising staff, overseeing the seamless execution of large-scale events and focus on delivering exceptional customer service! As the Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with both the client and your team to ensure the smooth flow of operations, making effective communication an essential skill. Your ability to multitask will be crucial, as you may find yourself setting up tables before an event, addressing client requests, preparing upcoming events, communicating with staff, and overseeing post-event cleanup services. Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Be an integral part of daily event operations & guest services
  • Oversee and execute event service, including set-up and breakdown
  • Maintain service standards set by company leadership
  • Responsible for team performance, morale & productivity
  • Polished presentation and communication with VIP clients and management
  • Give clear direction to service staff, coordinate vendor load-in and set-up
  • Expedite food during events
  • Follow full event-close procedure & ensure event space is clean & secure, post-event
  • All other duties as directed by Director of Events & General Manager

Qualified Candidates Should Be Able To: 

  • Communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Delegate effectively
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Requires Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role in a hotel or banquet setting
  • 2+ years of experience managing luxury weddings
  • Strengths must include multi-tasking, problem resolution, and customer relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic Prior knowledge of TripleSeat & Toast POS

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
  • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
  • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
