Job description

Overview: As an essential member of our events team, you will help ensure that all guests have an amazing and exceptional experience. You will complete various tasks to successfully service events in any one of our 5 events spaces here at The Roundhouse. We provide both corporate and social events, such as cocktail party, weddings, etc.

Event Accountabilities: Bar set-up; stocking product, glassware, bar equipment, rental equipment Setup of tables, chairs, buffets, coffee stations, coat check, etc; setting tables, organizing rentals, pinning linen & organizing client items (gift bags, name cards, menus, etc.) Ability to carry a tray and related service equipment as required Exceptional knowledge of Steam Whistle products, house wine and spirits and specialty cocktails Accuracy of beverage measurements Accuracy with tracking consumption sheets during event Assist in opening and closing checklists, including cash out sheets and inventory as required/assigned Return event spaces to client ready status for next event Follow all Steam Whistle's Health & Safety policies and procedures Cater Waiters/Event Floor staff: Setup up the event space for various events held at the brewery, including setting up the room (tables, chairs, buffets, coffee stations, coat check, etc.), setting tables, organizing rentals, pinning linen & organizing client provide items (gift bags, name cards, menus, etc.) Responsible for the teardown of the bar and event strike once the event has concluded Ability to competently and confidently bartend and mix drinks in a fast-paced environment Have good working knowledge of house wines and spirits Carry a tray and bus as required Assist in opening and closing checklists, including cash out sheets and inventory as require/assigned Responsible for leaving the gallery and hall in a presentable condition for the morning Ability to provide tours of the brewery for guests as required Be an active member at department meetings Responsible for maintaining company appearance, uniform and key messages during events Ensure polite, professional and positive attitude is always displayed Assist in promoting GBF culture; working as part of a team, leading by example and assisting in training for new hires The hourly salary for this position is $23.00 per hour.
