Prioritizes and performs a wide variety of clinical laboratory tests on various biological specimens. Reviews, evaluates, documents and reports results. Preserves confidentiality of patients and follows lab safety and maintenance protocols. Trains and supervises trainees, laboratory assistants and clerks as needed.

A list of what we use: Instrumentation: Chemistry: Ortho Vitros 7600 (2 analyzers) Urinalysis: Arkray and Siemens Clinitek Status Plus Hematology: Sysmex XN-1000 and back up XN-550 Coagulation: Siemens CS-2500 no back up Drug screens: MedTox Blood Gases: GEM 4000 Blood Bank: Manual Gel using Ortho Molecular: Cepheid Various kits Pregnancy, Mono, HIV Rapid, Strep A, etc..
