These internships allow individuals to apply scientific knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world experiments, research, or diagnostic testing under the supervision of experienced professionals. Interns typically assist with tasks such as conducting experiments, analyzing samples, maintaining equipment, and recording data. The experience gained helps interns build technical skills, understand laboratory protocols, and prepare for future careers in laboratory science or related fields.

These skills ensure accurate data collection, safe laboratory practices, and effective teamwork, all of which are critical for scientific research and experimentation.

What types of hands-on experiences can I expect during a laboratory science internship?
