Job description

The Role: The HR Data Analyst will support Human Resources and related technology to optimize HR processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system analysis, project management, and process improvement, with hands-on experience in Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1), or similar HCM systems, and HR-related software tools.
Location(s): Salinas, CA - This position is not remote.
Areas of Responsibility:
  • Manage HCM related IT tickets in our internal ticketing system. Coordinate solutions, development, and testing with related parties.
  • Research in Oracle Support to resolve system issues and find system enhancements.
  • Lead testing efforts for Electronic Software Updates (ESU's) and Vertex Payroll updates.
  • Analyze system functions and develop business work instructions to optimize HR processes.
  • Implement and teach proper procedures for core HR functions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and develop strategies to improve business processes and efficiency.
  • Manage additional internal HR software applications (AlertMedia, ApplicantPro, HireForms).
  • Oversee and develop further Employee Self-Service functionality within E1.
  • Create User Defined Objects (UDOs) for users and manage the promotion of UDOs within E1.
  • Create and maintain HCM reports using ReportsNow (Data Access Studio).
  • Assist with training of new HCM users for E1 Navigation.
  • Record HCM processes through Opus (document as additional Work Instructions).
  • Responsible for other E1 system set up (Job Codes, Automatic Accounting Instructions).
  • Gather data and file reports for required Federal Reporting (EEO-1 and CA Pay Data).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year university and three plus years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical applications, support documentation, and implementation guides. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must possess the Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Should have knowledge of HCM software; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
