On Kiawah Island, located just south of Charleston, South Carolina, day breaks across a pristine 10-mile beach, expansive marsh savannahs, ribboning rivers, and some of the most-acclaimed amenities available on the Eastern Seaboard. The Kiawah Island Club delivers a diverse collection of private amenities in distinctive venues. Amid uncommon scenic beauty, Members can savor the Island’s best offerings and create lifelong memories with family and friends.

When you come to Kiawah, you’ll know if it’s right for you the moment you set foot on the Island. It produces a feeling you can’t quite describe but you never want to let go.

We are seeking a Host/Hostess to be an ambassador for our mission: TO BE THE FINEST PRIVATE CLUB IN THE WORLD. A Host/Hostess at Kiawah Island Club will excel at applying empathy to every person so they may create and maintain our members’ loyalty, while ranking their teammate’s needs even higher. A Kiawah Island Club host/hostess will be an expert at prioritizing to produce efficiency in this fast-paced, multi-faceted, club environment. Service periods include lunch, brunch and dinner.


Responsibilities

- Responsible for greeting members as they enter the club, whether it involves normal dinner service or special parties.

- Hosts will guide members to their tables as they walk in, presetting their table as necessary.

- Hosts will asked to run for wine throughout the night and maintain inventory as they go.

- Hosts will organize and maintain the floorplan and generate the final cover count at the end of each shift.

- Hosts will be the primary voice of dinner service, answering any calls throughout the evening.

- Hosts will communicate with management regarding walk-ins and overflow.

- Maintain and curate notes on member preferences.

- Hosts are responsible for checking all restrooms and replenishing necessary items.


Qualifications

- Employees must be well groomed with clean, pressed and appropriate attire.

- Employees will always be on time to their scheduled shifts.

- Experience with reservations is preferred.

- Employees must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office and proper phone and email etiquette.

- Employees must maintain positive upbeat attitude throughout their shift.

- Employees must be organized and responsible for their work area.

-TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification is required for this position. Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
