Summary

The Host is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming experience for all guests entering the Asian specialty restaurant. This role manages guest flow, seating assignments, and waitlist coordination while ensuring timely communication between the front-of-house and kitchen staff. The Host sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience and supports smooth restaurant operations.

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.

  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently.

  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus.

  • Monitor guest flow and communicate table availability to servers and kitchen staff.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding reservations, hours, and menu offerings.

  • Ensure the dining area and entrance are clean, organized, and presentable.

  • Assist with special requests, large parties, and event seating as needed.

  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth service during peak periods.

  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.

  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
