Security Officer

PIER 39 is the premiere entertainment destination in the heart of the San Francisco waterfront. Along with two levels of dining, entertainment, shopping and attractions both on The PIER and in San Francisco Bay, PIER 39 is home to the world-famous sea lions, who have been delighting guests daily at K-Dock since 1990.

The PIER is a gathering place for millions of guests annually. With picture-perfect views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz and the city skyline at almost every turn, it is easy to see why PIER 39 has recently been named the most visited attraction in San Francisco for the ninth consecutive year. In September of 2018, PIER 39 was named a Legacy Business by the City of San Francisco. A visit to San Francisco starts at The PIER!

Job Description

PIER 39 is now hiring Security Officers to join the Security Team. The PIER 39 Security Department is responsible for the physical protection of PIER 39 property and the safety of its visitors, tenants, and employees. Ideal candidates should have a desire for public service.

Previous security experience is not necessary; however, applicants should possess a valid California Guard Card or a Proprietary Security Officer Permit. All Security members are offered continuous training, including but not limited to: water rescue, fire suppression, CPR/First Aid/AED, and handcuffing certification.

Successful candidates will start at $25.00 per hour and be provided with employee parking in the PIER 39 garage. Opportunities exist for performance-based pay increases, promotional opportunities, uniforms and dry-cleaning services.

Qualifications
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Valid California Guard Card or Proprietary Security Officer Permit
  • Prior customer service experience or public facing role a plus.

Rate: $25.00/hour

HIRING BONUS OF $500 payable after 90 days of employment
