Photographer and Multimedia Producer
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position serves as Schreiner University's primary campus photographer and produces video and multimedia content supporting academics, athletics, recruitment, marketing and University events. Responsibilities include photographing student life, classroom experiences, athletics, portraits, facilities and campus activities; filming and editing academic and athletics videos; creating motion graphics; conducting interviews; and preparing content for social media, websites, advertising, livestreams and video boards. The position manages projects from concept through final delivery, maintains an organized photography and video archive, operates and maintains production equipment, ensures compliance with University brand standards, and provides occasional evening and weekend coverage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as the University's primary photographer for academics, athletics, student life, ceremonies, campus events and institutional priorities.
  • Capture action photography, environmental portraits, headshots, group photographs and images of campus facilities.
  • Select, edit, color-correct, caption and prepare photographs for print and digital use.
  • Develop, film and edit video content highlighting academic programs, faculty expertise, student success and the student experience.
  • Produce athletics content, including hype videos, team introductions, student-athlete profiles, game recaps and promotional videos.
  • Create motion graphics for social media, websites, digital advertising, livestreams and game-day video displays.
  • Conduct and film interviews with students, faculty, staff, alumni and coaches.
  • Operate professional cameras, lighting, microphones and other production equipment.
  • Adapt photography and video for different platforms, audiences and formats.
  • Manage production schedules, project files, raw footage, photography releases and completed assets.
  • Maintain an organized and searchable photography and video archive.
  • Ensure all content follows Schreiner University brand standards.
  • Provide evening and weekend coverage for selected athletics contests, campus events and other priority assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned that support Marketing and Communications and Schreiner University.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in photography, film, video production, digital media, communications, broadcasting, marketing or a related field.
  • Professional experience producing, photographing, filming and editing visual content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating photography, video production, visual storytelling, editing and motion graphics.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and animated visual elements.
  • Working knowledge of professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment and production workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities and deadline-sensitive projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with campus partners.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for athletics contests, campus events and other assignments.
  • Ability to safely transport, set up and operate photography, video, lighting and audio equipment.
  • Experience producing content for higher education, collegiate athletics or a comparable organization.
  • Graphic design experience using Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
  • Experience developing content for social media, digital advertising, livestreams and video boards.
  • Experience with drone photography or videography and multicamera production.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining digital photography and video archives.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
